August 2025 Mood Board

August always has a variety of somewhat overwhelming feelings for me. It is warm and I am ready to be wearing layers again… but I so desperately want it to feel unhurried, and also has a bittersweet feeling knowing that we are on the backside of summer. This month’s mood board captures that fleeting magic of late summer, when we want the pace to slow so we can savor what’s left of the season.

This design inspiration is a plea for August to be summer's gentle goodbye. A time to soak up the warmth, find calm, and reset before the rhythm of the school year and theater season begins.
